Our mission is to create an environment that empowers our employees to deliver the best possible care to their patients. In the setting of a commercial ambulance service, patient care and customer service can be synonyms when our staff is encouraged to envision the larger picture.

  • Aetna strives to use our continued growth to give us the reach and strength to serve our customers and patients to the highest industry standards.
  • Today Aetna Ambulance Service has over 140 employees and a fleet of 25 ambulances 3 intercept units and 2 bariatric units. Aetna continues to seek out the most advanced medical equipment and life-saving technology.

Vision Statement

The delivery of emergency medical care is, by its very nature, constantly changing and evolving. A new layer of complexity is added to every element of our operation as fast as can be created by outside influences and industry standards. Aetna seeks to ease these ‘growing pains’ for our employees so that they are willing and able to do the most for their patients and communities.

Our Involvement

Connecticut Brain Freeze

We participate in the brain freeze challenge to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society.

CCMC Toy Drive

The “Stuff a Cruiser” toy drive is a 22 year long tradition at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Each year enough toys are brought in to give a toy to each of the 59,000 children seen at all of CCMC’s locations.

Softball Game

Each year Aetna Ambulance and ASM host a charity softball tournament. Proceeds from the event benefit the Manchester Police Benevolent Association.
