Testimonials
"Every crisis is a test of our resolve, our strength and our focus as a community of caregivers. Throughout this storm, individuals in the command center and managers throughout the hospital heard of and saw hundreds of cases in which Hartford Hospital people went the extra mile for patients, families, visitors and co-workers. These stories are too numerous to detail here, but we want to especially recognize the efforts of Aetna Ambulance, which helped get discharged patients home and acted as a true strategic partner in a time of need." -Hartford Hospital Communications.
"One of your EMT's was on the ambulance that brought my husband home from the hospital. He made sure to be as gentle as possible when bringing him into the house and when transferring him to the hospital bed. He then brought in all the supplies the hospital had sent home. He asked if we had any questions and then wished us well.
Unfortunately, my husband needed to be returned to the hospital a few days later and when I looked out the door and saw that the same EMT was a member of the crew that would take him back I was relieved because I knew he would be in good hands. He came in a greeted my husband by name and assessed how best to transfer him to the stretcher with the least amount of discomfort. Once again the transfer went smoothly. Your EMT's professionalism and compassion inspire confidence and reflect well upon him and your company.
My husband and I both would like to offer him our sincere thanks for his help during a difficult time."
"On June 30th of this year, while at work, I was experiencing chest pains and some difficulty breathing. My boss insisted on calling an ambulance for me; I had no intentions of going anywhere, except back to my desk.
In less than 10 minutes, An Aetna crew arrived with emergency equipment and a gurney, in tow. They immediately went to work with their gear and experience to determine what might be wrong. In case the abnormally high reading on the blood pressure monitor wasn't enough to convince me that I should get my obese butt on to their gurney, they began to regale me with the possibilities of what could happen if I failed to let them take me to hospital.
If I thought these guys were terrific while they were attending to me in the 4th floor office suite, they transformed in to superhero status as soon as they strapped me on to the gurney and got me in to the ambulance. Beyond a doubt, the best medical treatment I received that day was from [the Aetna crew].
Please let them know that they may be unsung heroes to others, but to me, more than a month after what could easily have become a life threatening event, they are still my heroes."
"On October 2nd my mother was transferred by your service at 2:00 from [Hospital] to be taken to a nursing facility in Manchester. My husband and I waited for the drivers to bring my Mom.
I appreciated the honesty and the care that your staff gave my mother. They took very good care of her and they were so gentle. Your staff would not leave my mother's side until they gave her the oxygen while reassuring her that everything would be fine.
I kept telling my husband that evening that I should have gotten the gentlemen's name because they were so wonderful and I would have loved to have sent them a thank you. We need more people in this world like those two Gentlemen."
"I was extremely impressed with the care I received. During the ride, [the EMS provider] was very talkative and informative and lessened my fears during my chest pain. Thank you!"
"Your people were calm and compassionate. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was in their demeanor, professionalism, etc. A great credit to your organization..."
